Looking to achieve 100% occupancy in your building? Attract more tenants with energy efficiency

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Here on the Enerliance blog, we spend a good deal of time speaking to commercial building owners and portfolio managers about the financial benefits of central system upgrades and retrofits such as our LOBOS HVAC efficiency application. We talk about HVAC energy reductions of 30 percent or more; we talk about the millions of dollars and kilowatt-hours that LOBOS is saving our clients, and the various utility incentive programs that can fund building improvements and feasibility studies.

While the energy savings that LOBOS delivers is a key driver of upgrade projects, our clients have made it clear that nothing is more important than tenant comfort. This is why we have carefully designed LOBOS to optimize a building’s existing BAS to maintain comfort conditions in the most energy-efficient manner possible. The LOBOS Energy Efficiency (EE) application dramatically reduces day-to-day energy consumption while maximizing comfort. The LOBOS Automatic Demand Response (DR) module minimizes the impact to comfort during utility-initiated DR events. And this is crucial, because during the periods of excessive demand that threaten power grid stability, DR events can result in significant power curtailment. (more…)
