Enerliance Springs Into Conference Season

Thursday, March 20, 2014

When you think of April, what comes to mind? Blossoming trees? Melting snow? Bunny rabbits? Well, here at Enerliance, we think of conferences, summits and trade shows. Because in April, that’s how we get it done. There’s no time for daffodils. There’s no time for Peeps® or spring break. We’ve got a job to do. (more…)

Enerliance in CIO Magazine’s 2013 Top 20 For Utilities Technology

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

According to Wikipedia, a CIO or Chief Information Officer has become, for many organizations, one of “the key contributor[s] in formulating strategic goals for an organization.” Sounds like a pretty influential position. If accurate, then it stands to reason that being recognized by award-winning CIO magazine (which happens to be one of the most highly regarded publications in the information technology industry) is a pretty big deal.

Well guess what, after reviewing hundreds of solutions providers and consulting companies, CIO magazine included Enerliance on their list of 2013 Most Promising Utilities Solutions Providers. The list, which was featured in CIO’s December 2013 issue, also includes the Open ADR Alliance and industry leaders such as Opower and Ameresco.

Enerliance Collaborates with the LBL and the DOE to Produce an Award-Winning Webinar

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

It’s not every day that Enerliance wins accolades of this caliber, so we just had to share.

Back in January, we collaborated with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBL) and the Department of Energy (DOE) on a webinar presentation to their Energy Management Information Systems team. The EMIS team had previously identified LOBOS as a “technology of interest” and subsequently asked us to develop a concise overview and live demonstration to be delivered to an expert audience via webinar.

Enerliance and Trane Work Together to Save Loyola Marymount University $629,000 Annually

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

LOBOS saves money. LOBOS saves energy. LOBOS creates comfort. Simply put, in this day and age, an HVAC upgrade is incomplete without it—and when you couple LOBOS with top-of-the-line controls and equipment, the energy savings are simply astounding. Enerliance recently collaborated with HVAC systems manufacturer Trane  for an upgrade to the Upper Campus chiller plant at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). The projected energy cost-savings are a whopping $629,000 annually—and these savings come without any sacrifice in comfort to students, faculty and staff. (more…)

LOBOS in the News: Setting
the USGBC Standard for LEED Pilot Credit 8

Monday, November 11, 2013

We all know that the United States Green Business Council (USGBC) developed the LEED program to promote efficiency through integrative design, and it is clear that unified building systems are crucial for attaining the high levels of efficiency that a LEED certification demands.  That being said, it will come as no surprise to those familiar with LOBOS to hear that the USGBC has invited Enerliance to participate in their Demand Response Partnership Program (DRRP) as a technology solution provider and a contributor to the research that will continue to inform the development of LEED Pilot Credit 8: Demand Response.

Why Enerliance? Because LOBOS is a real world example of the unified and integrated technology concepts promoted by LEED. The LOBOS software utilizes HVAC intelligence and real time control to deliver both Energy Efficiency and Automated Demand Response on a single platform.

Energy Management

Where is the Future of Energy Management? Right Here.

Thursday, October 24, 2013

On August 22, 2013, Utility Dive, an online energy and utilities industry dashboard and news source, featured an article by Davide Savenije titled, The future of energy management: EnerNOC’s VP on big data, business models and more. In the article, Savenije questioned Brad Davids, Vice President of Utility Solutions at EnerNOC, about the future of demand response and energy efficiency. What Davids had to say was pretty interesting—especially for us here at Enerliance—because his answer basically puts our LOBOS software at the forefront of this transforming industry.

Here’s the bit that’s important to us:
