A few months ago we had the opportunity to go to DistribuTech in San Diego. The event hosted more than 9,500 attendees from 53 countries, and is the largest U.S. conference that covers the smart grid from end-to-end.
We set up a booth to introduce LOBOS to attendees within the utility grid infrastructure and demand response fields. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase LOBOS to interested parties.
Everyone who stopped by our booth and scanned their badge was entered into a contest for an iPad. Alberto Gross, CEO of CLADirect, was our lucky winner.
We caught up with Alberto and asked him a couple questions.
How was Distributech?
The trade show was really productive. The companies that participated in the show were a good fit for attendees; I’m glad I went, and I would encourage others to do the same.
What was the take away?
We learned how to accelerate the development of creative solutions, and that there is a strong need for broader standards.
Were you surprised to win the iPad.
Yes. I’ve never won anything like this before. I’m really excited to play around with it.
Any favorite Apps?
Aside from the the usual Apps, I’m looking forward to playing games on it. I’ve heard good things about Angry Birds.
Congratulations Alberto! We hope you enjoy the iPad.
If you didn’t get a chance to stop by our booth at DistribuTech, we’ll be at Haystack Connect in Chattanooga, TN from Monday April 29th – Thursday May 2nd, and IBCON Wednesday June 12th and Thursday June 13th. We’ll have more details on those conferences coming soon.
